Update 6: Apoxie Attempts

Finally my order of Apoxie came in, and I started attacking my models right away! Here is what I did today:

Nothing much to this gal, but the hardest part is going to be making a base that will hold her up.. I have no idea where to start with that, possibly a peg, maybe a stand like Ruffian. No idea, I'm clueless.

I filled in his knee, he looks a little retarded, but I guess theres nothing I can do about it now!

This one was a challenge, I don't like the way the neck turned out.. I guess I was rough when I was cutting away. I guess we will find out in 24 hours how it worked out!

Strap needs a lot of work. Her neck needs to be done by a professional, because I'm scared I'm going to ruin it more! I might buy another Strap and rework that one. Chris broke her little foot off (thanks..) and I don't know how to put it back on correctly, so I am trying to make a mold around that area. I doubt it's going to work, but we will have to see..

So now I need to go get some primer and more sandpaper. :)

Update 4: 5 New Projects

Amber Project
I have a Tacoma Chris won from a raffle at a local Breyer Fun Day, but he won't let me experiment with her. So I purchased a Amber from MH$P and she got here today. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her, besides fixing her legs and replacing her ear.. She looks very odd, and I wish Tacoma was out of her box so I can compare because I sold my Amber conga a while ago. I wish I still had all those cute faces.. Anyway, here she is!

Thoroughbred Project
I am making a second attempt at this mold. The first one ended up in flames and missing ears. I want to make him look like Ruffian, with only one foot on the ground. This should be a simple project, but I may speak too soon!

Jumper Project
I am really excited for this one. I proxied a horse that was reworked from this mold, and it looked awsome. I also saw one on Blab remolded to be rearing, I don't want to copy her, so I am going to make him jump better. So I am going to go from this:
To this:
I was looking through pictures and I saw this one and I thought I'd share:
It has nothing to do with the mold, but I was like "Sh*t, that had to hurt!" Anyway, I think I am going to use the GoPro when I am working on this guy. I think it would be neat, and I told a friend I would try to do that. Expect to see a video on me reworking this mold! :)

Drafter Project (Maybe)
I was thinking about making him do a dressage move, but its so difficult to find a drafter doing dressage! I figured there might be a group of people who did that, but nope. I was thinking of a Salinero pose, but I don't really know. I found this picture, but it's not professional at all, I couldn't use it as a reference when showing him:
I might just leave him how he is and get him rapainted. Actually, his paint job is very nice, so I just might put him in my show string. :)

Andalusian project
This is a simple reposition. There isn't anything I can really do with him, so I just moved his leg down a slight bit to give him more personality. Eh, I probably should have left him how he was. Whatever.

Well, thats everything thats happened so far in my "Studio". The stuffed peppers are done, so BYE!

Update 3: Drastic Strapless Custom

FINALLY something nice came out of this girl. I still have to fix her neck, but I think I am going to have a very nice friend help me with that. I don't know the first place to start with that. I plan on making her more like the G4 SM OF, I need to raise her rear right leg a bit more. I hacked a lot off her ankle area, but it makes her stand, ON TWO FEETS! Again! This is so cool, lol. I ran out of bodies to mess with..time to get some more!

Update 2: Side passing G4 SM

I have been hard at work hacking away and practicing on bodies I have laying around. Here is what I did today. Here is the G4 Dressage SM who I wasn't going to work on, but he wasn't LSQ so I figured "what the heck". Yes! You see him standing on TWO FEETS!

Here he is compared to Deckerette.
I was nervous to do his neck, but I ended up figuring out cutting the throat area worked. :)
Oh yeah, I made him side passing! (Before I moved his neck)

Update 1: First Post!

I guess I will become part of the norm and make a Blog. I like reading others Blogs, so maybe someone will get something out of reading mine. I am not sure if I want to just talk about models, but I will probably just Blog about anything that happens in my day.

I have been through many customs, and they all were destroyed for the most part. But I attempted to make a Breyer Classic QH Mare canter instead of walk. My dad let me use his dremel, and I hacked away at her joints. I don't have a before picture, but here is an after picture. I looked at Roxy as a reference, they look the same, for the most part.

She looks alright, but her muscle confirmation is for a horse that's walking, not cantering. She looks really cool and I was getting confident with the dremel. Every leg has been moved in one way or another, and I moved her neck a little. Obviously her tail is chopped off. :)

Who should be my next victim..? (This gal, but shh don't tell her or she'll hide!)

Oh yeah, my lovely boyfriend, Chris received his huge Mercedes RC car from China today. He is so excited, and I think he might be a little over his head because he has to put it all together himself. Literally everything together.

Sunday will be my first Autocross in Geneva, so be prepared to see pictures!
